Contact Humanopia

Email contact@humanopia.com about corrections, tips, review requests, partnerships, privacy requests or the newsletter. This page explains what to include.

One address for everything

Humanopia is an independent publication. To reach us about anything, email contact@humanopia.com.

That one address handles corrections, tips, review requests, partnerships, privacy requests and the newsletter. A clear subject line helps your message reach the right place, so start it with one of these: Correction, Tip, Review request, Partnership, Privacy request or Newsletter.

Each section below says what to include. The email links on this page open your email app with the subject already filled in.

Corrections

If something we published is wrong, we want to know. That includes facts in a story or essay, prices and features in a tool review, sources that no longer support what we wrote, and our automated news.

Send us a link to the page, the part that’s wrong, and a source with the right information if you have one. Email contact@humanopia.com with “Correction” in the subject.

Prices change often. Every tool review shows the date we last checked its prices, so if a price has changed since then, please tell us.

Our automated news stories are drafted with AI from at least two sources, which are linked on each story, and checked by the Humanopia Editorial Team before they are published. Mistakes can still get through, and reports from readers help us find them.

Our editorial standards explain how we handle corrections.

Tips and story ideas

Tell us about news we should cover, a question about AI you’d like answered, or how AI is changing your work or your community.

Links to sources help most. We can’t promise to cover every idea. Email contact@humanopia.com with “Tip” in the subject.

Review requests

If you make an AI tool and think our readers should know about it, email contact@humanopia.com with “Review request” in the subject. It helps to include:

  • what the tool does and who it’s for
  • a link to your pricing page
  • what has changed, if we’ve covered the tool before

Writing to us doesn’t guarantee coverage, a review or a score.

We give a tool a score out of 10 only after we have tested it hands-on, and the score reflects our verdict. Until then, its review is a first look, with no score. A scored review also shows the date we tested the tool and the date we checked its prices. How the score is set explains more.

Partnerships and affiliate links

If you have a partnership in mind, email contact@humanopia.com with “Partnership” in the subject and tell us what you’re proposing.

We don’t sell reviews or scores. Affiliate commissions are how Humanopia earns money from some of its links to tools: if you buy through one of those links, we may earn a commission. A commission never changes a verdict or a score.

A review that uses an affiliate link says so next to it. If you have a question about a specific link, send us the page it’s on.

Privacy requests

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. For most readers, that information comes from one of these:

  • a newsletter signup: your email address and the date you signed up
  • a comment: your name, email address and comment, plus the IP address and browser details that WordPress records when a comment is posted
  • an email you sent us: your address and what you wrote

Email contact@humanopia.com with “Privacy request” in the subject. If you can, send it from the email address the request is about. That helps us find the right records and check that the request comes from you. If your request is about a comment, include a link to the page it’s on.

Our privacy policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and which outside services are involved, such as Cloudflare.

Leaving the newsletter

To leave the newsletter list, email contact@humanopia.com from the address you signed up with and ask to be removed. We’ll remove your address from the list.

We haven’t sent a newsletter yet, and no email service is connected. So for now, signing up doesn’t send you a confirmation email, and there’s no unsubscribe link to click.

The signup form saves your email address and the date you signed up as a private record in WordPress, the software that runs this site. To stop spam, it may also keep a hashed version of your IP address for a short time.

If your address is on our list but you didn’t sign up yourself, tell us and we’ll remove it.

Responding to a story

If you’d rather reply in public, you can leave a comment under the story. The comment form asks for your name, email address and comment, and we don’t publish your email address. Comments are held for moderation before they appear.
